Regulation of Residential Care Homes for the Elderly

 

The operation of residential care homes for the elderly (RCHEs) in Hong Kong is governed by the Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) Ordinance (Cap. 459, Laws of Hong Kong), the Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) Regulation (Cap. 459 sub. leg. A) and the Code of Practice for Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) setting out the principles, procedures, guidelines and standards for the operation, keeping, management or other control of RCHEs.
